How to Register

Family and family friends can register and when approved can create their own gallery and albums within their gallery.

Go to the Welford-Woods Descendants Visual Gallery and click the Register button.

The Terms and conditions page will appear. Please read it and then click the I agree button.

The Input registration information page appears. Please type in the required information: a username, a password, confirm the password and an email address. Any other information is optional.

I will be sent an email which I have to confirm. You will also get an email. When I do confirm you will get an email notifying you that you have successfully become a registered user. It may also be an email that asks you to click a link to activate your account. I will place you in the appropriate groups and you should be good to go.

 

If You Just Want to Visit

When you visit there will be 5 buttons in the upper left-hand side of the page: Home, Register, Login, Album list and Search. This page will also show thumbnails of 12 Random files and 12 Last additions. There will be an underlined link labeled User galleries. Click this link.

This will bring you to the User galleries page. Currently there are 2 user’s galleries available: clbuffalo and CLB. Just below each name is the total number of albums and files in these users’ galleries. Click either name or thumbnail picture just above them.

This will bring you to the user’s album page. There is a list of all the available albums, how many files are in each album, when the last picture was added and how many times the album has been viewed. Click on any album name or the thumbnail directly underneath the album name.

This will bring you to a thumbnail view of all the pictures in the album. If there are more than 60 pictures in the album they will be spread over several pages. If there is more than one page you can get to the other pages by scrolling to the bottom of the page and using the navigation buttons provided there. At any time you can click on any thumbnail and you will see a page with an enlarged version of the picture you clicked on and a film strip of 5 thumbnails below the picture. You will also be shown which file number out of the total number of files you are looking at e.g. FILE 4/87.

In the upper left-hand side of the picture are 3 icons. Of these only the 3rd one currently works. It is the Slide Show icon. Click this and all of the pictures in the album will be presented as a slide show starting with the picture you are currently viewing. Each picture will change every 5 seconds. Click this icon again to stop the Slide Show. There are also Left and Right direction arrows which will move the thumbnails 1 at a time either left or right. Clicking on any enlarged picture will open a pop up window which will display the current picture at actual size. You can close this tab / window by clicking on the picture again or clicking on the X in the upper right-hand corner.
